A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCESS

VWA offers contemporary designed, affordable multi-user architectural building plans. Plans are available for both single family and multi-family homes.
Multi-user plans, as offered by VWA , are an affordable way of attaining creative and contemporary designs for multi-family and single family homes, at a fraction of the costs normally associated with creative architectural design solutions. As prototypical multi-user plans, the design costs are amortized over several users rather than to just a single user.
In many jurisdictions, these preliminary plans are acceptable to the governing authorities and lenders, along with supporting building cost data, as the required architectural documents needed for the project's initial, preliminary approvals, thereby saving significant costs associated with the early stages of development. Depending on the jurisdiction(s) and the governing building and zoning codes, additional architectural and/or engineering consulting services and documents may be required to complete the approval process. The buyer/licensee should check and verify all governing local, county and/or state requirements.
On purchase of a preliminary design plan, the buyer will be required to sign a license agreement for the "limited" use of the plans on a one time basis. Limited modifications to these basic plans can be made by VWA for additional fees. Multiple uses (additional licenses), of the same design plan are also an available option.
VWA also offers full service plans on terms similar to the preliminary plans. These full service plans are typically acceptable by most jurisdictions as the required contract documents for full building permit reviews. Additional architectural and/or engineering consulting services and documents may be required to complete the approval process. The buyer/licensee should check and verify all governing local, county and/or state requirements.

All plans are designed and developed in Graphisoft's Archicad Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. For a nominal cost, these BIM documents can be available in a BIMX format, allowing modifications, project monitoring and documentation from devices such as smart phones and tablets.
