This home design is based on the special proportions of the Golden Rectangle, which are recognized as the "ideal" spatial arrangement. The 2,900 s.f. home consists of 2 buildings interconnected by a trellised breezeway. The primary building is the main living space with a Great Room and Open Kitchen / dining area, Master Bedroom suite, plus 2 bedrooms with private baths, a den / study, adjacent powder room and utilities and laundry areas.  Separating the buildings are open shade areas which provide comforting open-air areas for outdoor living. The 2nd building is 800 s.f. open- plan casita, ideal as a work/studio or as a 2nd Gen. suite, complete with a full bath and/or kitchen,  if desired.  The adjacent 2 car garage is expandable for additional cars. The plan uses "Green Building" applications and is designed to maximize energy efficiency with the use ICF insulated structural, exterior walls, energy efficient windows and roofing systems.
