VWA offers contemporary designed, affordable multi-user architectural building plans. Plans are available for both single family and multi-family homes. Multi-user plans, as offered by VWA , are an affordable way of attaining creative and contemporary designs for multi-family and single family homes, at a fraction of the costs normally associated with creative architectural design solutions. An abbreviated contract, AIA B105-2017, Standard Short Form of Agreement Between Owner and Architect, shall be required for this work.
In many jurisdictions, these preliminary design plans are acceptable to the governing authorities and lenders, along with supporting building cost data, as the required architectural documents needed for the project's initial, preliminary approvals, thereby saving significant costs associated with the early stages of development. Depending on the jurisdiction(s) and the governing building and zoning codes, additional architectural and/or engineering consulting services from a licensed professional may be required to complete the approval process. The buyer/licensee should check and verify all governing local, county and/or state requirements. Preliminary plans from VWA are not a stamped by a licensed architect. If this is a jurisdictional requirement, you will need to agree to additional services from VWA, where possible, or use a licensed professional to review and complete the approval process.
With the purchase of a preliminary design plan, the buyer/licensee will be required to agree to the license agreement for the "limited" use of the plans on a one time only basis. Limited modifications to these basic plans can be made by VWA at additional costs. Multiple uses (additional licenses), of the same design plan are also an available option.

VWA retains title and ownership of all plans. VWA, the Licensor, grants the buyer, as Licensee, the right to use these plans on a limited basis, to construct a single building at the identified site. The use of the license does not extend to any other person through use or resale. These plans can be copied or reproduced as specifically authorized by the agreement. These preliminary plans are copyrighted as per the Federal Copyright Act, Title XVII of the U.S. code and Chapter 37 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

(VWA also offers full service plans on terms similar to the preliminary plans. These full service plans are typically acceptable by most jurisdictions as the required contract documents for full building permit reviews. Additional architectural and/or engineering consulting services and documents may be required to complete the approval process. The buyer/licensee should check and verify all governing local, county and/or state requirements.)
